I'm Jack, founder of Inner Armor Therapy. I earned my MSW from the University of Southern California and my PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology. I founded this practice because I believe proper mental health care should create measurable change in how people feel and function.
I understand how stress, anxiety, and the demands of work and relationships can impact your mental health and overall well-being. Clinically, I specialize in anxiety, stress, trauma, depression, identity issues, body image concerns, OCD, and eating disorders. My approach is grounded in the belief that healing is a deeply personal journey, requiring a thoughtful and tailored strategy that addresses your unique needs and goals.
What sets my practice apart is the integration of neurotechnology with traditional therapeutic approaches. I offer neurofeedback, HRV biofeedback, transcranial photobiomodulation, cranial electrostimulation, and vagal nerve stimulation alongside various talk therapy modalities and somatic approaches. I have extensive training in neurofeedback from the USC Center for Research on Veterans and Military Families, and my background includes research conducted at USC and Washington University in partnership with the National Institutes of Health and U.S. Department of Defense.
My doctoral training in Industrial-Organizational Psychology also informs my work with clients dealing with workplace stress, career transitions, and work-life balance challenges. I currently teach psychology at Sacred Heart University, including courses in personality, research methods, and general psychology. Teaching keeps me connected to emerging research and sharpens how I think about clinical work.
By drawing on both traditional and innovative techniques, I strive to offer a comprehensive and compassionate experience that empowers my clients to reach their fullest potential. I am committed to creating a supportive and inclusive space where you can feel safe, understood, and inspired to grow.
